Saudi beach soccer team defeats Bahrain 4-2 in friendly match

Saudi Arabia’s national beach soccer team claimed a 4-2 victory over Bahrain in their second friendly match on Saturday evening. The game was held at the Bahrain Football Association’s beach soccer stadium as part of the Saudi team’s training camp in Bahrain, which runs until October 12. The camp is in preparation for the 2026 AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup, a qualifier for the 2027 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.

The goals for Saudi Arabia were scored by Qasem Dibaji, Waleed Al-Youbi, Khaled Waheeb, and Ahmed Al-Hamami.

Head coach Guga Zlocovic of Brazil gave most players a chance to participate, making several substitutions and rotations, and tested different playing styles to assess the team’s technical and physical readiness.

The draw for the 2026 AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup placed Saudi Arabia in Group C alongside Oman, the UAE, and Uzbekistan.
