Manchester United sign Cameroon’s Carlos Baleba from Brighton until 2031

Manchester United have finalized the signing of Cameroon international Carlos Baleba from Brighton, in a transfer reportedly worth £70 million. The midfielder has signed a contract with the club until June 2031, with an option for a further year.

Baleba, 22, established himself as one of the Premier League’s standout midfielders during his time at Brighton, delivering performances that made him a key player for the team.

Last season, the Cameroonian midfielder made 31 appearances and ranked sixth among Premier League midfielders for total tackles and interceptions, also excelling at winning second balls.

His contributions helped Brighton qualify for the UEFA Europa Conference League, before Baleba now embarks on a new challenge with Manchester United.

His move to Old Trafford comes amid great excitement, with Baleba describing the transfer as a dream come true and expressing his eagerness to work under manager Michael Carrick.
