Strasbourg comes from behind to defeat Lens in Ligue 1 second round

Strasbourg secured a 2-1 victory over visiting Lens, coming from behind to claim their first win of the season in the second round of the French Ligue 1.

Lens took the lead with a penalty, but Strasbourg equalized and clinched all three points thanks to a brace from Moroccan forward Yassine Jassim in the 48th and 85th minutes.

With this result, Strasbourg earned their first win under new coach Hugo Oliveira, raising their tally to 3 points and bouncing back from a heavy 4-0 defeat to Olympique Marseille in the opening round.

Strasbourg will visit Troyes on September 6 for their third-round fixture.

Meanwhile, Lens, led by German coach Dino Toppmöller, remain on 3 points after a 5-2 win over Auxerre in the first round and will host Lorient in the third round next Saturday.
