Saudi Arabia's Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammad Al Al-Sheikh, met yesterday with the Japanese Minister of State for Science and Technology Policies Inoue Shinji, on the sidelines of his participation in the meeting of the Research Ministers of the G20 in Trieste, Italy.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed enhancing joint research between universities in the two friendly countries, exchanging expertise and experiences in the fields of science and technology policies, in addition to enhancing cooperation with distinguished research centers in Japan.
They also discussed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's participation in the Science and Technology in Society Forum (STS Forum) for the year 2021 AD, the increase in the number of Japanese students studying in the Kingdom, and the Ministry of Education's endeavor to increase scholarships to distinguished Japanese universities.
