Saudi Arabia's Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, Speaker of the Shura Council, held a meeting on Tuesday with Speaker of House of Representatives of the Philippines lan Peter Cayetano.
At the outset of the meeting, the Speaker of House of Representatives of the Philippines welcomed the Speaker of the Shura Council, affirming the importance of consolidating bilateral relations and developing joint interests.
He describedthe bilateral relations as strong and distinguished, particularly at theparliamentary level, expressing his country's keenness to expand theserelations.
The FilipinoSpeaker thanked the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for supporting peace in Mindanao,the Philippines.
For his part, the Speaker of Shura Council thanked his Filipino counterpart for a good reception and warm hospitality, affirming the importance of exchanging visits between the two sides.
During themeeting, Dr. Al Al-Sheikh briefed the speaker and members of House ofRepresentatives of the Philippines on the Kingdom Vision 2030's goals in orderto achieve aims of sustainable development with its economic and socialdimensions, highlighting the importance of the Philippines' workforce insupporting development in the Kingdom.
Then, the Speaker of House of Representatives of the Philippines held a luncheon in honor of the Speaker of the Shura Council and accompanying delegation.
