The Saudi Arabian Scouts Association will begin its participation in the 24th World Scout Jamboree on Monday under the theme "Unlock a New World" to be held at the Summit Bechtel Reserve, West Virginia, United States of A.merica.

The Jamboree will continue until the second of August, with participation of 45000 young people from all over the world representing more than 150 scouts association and bodies members of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, and is expected to be the largest global scouts Jamboree since the first event by founder of the Scout movement Lord Baden-Powell in 1920.

"The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's delegation includes more than 100 scouts and rover scouts between the ages of 14-17 and will include educational activities that promote peace, intercultural understanding and life leadership skills," Vice Presi scouts dent of the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association Professor Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al-Fahd said.

"The Jamboree slogan will also inspire scouts to become active citizens able to create a more sustainable world by identifying global issues such as climate change through activities involving hiking and workshops so they can help themselves in a rapidly changing world." He added.
