Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health (MoH) highlighted the importance of committing to precautionary measures and preventive procedures during the summer holiday and travelling, such as wearing facemasks, avoiding handshakes and observing physical distancing to curb the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and preserve public health and safety.

The Health Ministry registered 1,320 confirmed cases and 873 recoveries on Wednesday, while the number of active cases stood at 10,023, including 1,348 critical cases.

Statistics showed that the total number of infections in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic reached 444,780 cases, while recoveries totaled 427,462, noting that Wednesday witnessed 17 deaths related to the COVID-19, taking the death tally in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to 7,295.

Moreover, 93,145 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests for COVID-19 were conducted in the Kingdom's laboratories. The Ministry also called on the public to contact the call center 937 round the clock for consultation and inquiries related to the virus and to receive information and updates of the COVID-19.
