Over 87,000 mosque inspections conducted in Riyadh in August 2026

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, through its Riyadh branch and affiliated mosque and guidance offices in the governorates, conducted more than 87,343 supervisory and inspection visits to mosques and grand mosques in Riyadh city and its governorates during August 2026.

The inspections focused on monitoring maintenance, cleanliness, and operations, as well as assessing the quality of services provided to worshippers and addressing observations on site, with the aim of improving performance and service quality.

Comprehensive coverage across governorates

The inspections covered mosques and grand mosques in Riyadh city and the governorates of Al-Aflaj, Al-Hariq, Al-Kharj, Al-Dawadmi, Al-Zulfi, Al-Muzahimiyah, Al-Ghat, Al-Quwaiiyah, Hotat Bani Tamim, Thadiq, Afif, Durma, Marat, Al-Majma'ah, Al-Dilam, Shaqra, Wadi Al-Dawasir, Al-Sulail, Huraymila, Rimah, Al-Diriyah, and Al-Rayn.

These efforts are part of ongoing monitoring to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines, aiming to provide a suitable environment for worshippers in all mosques and grand mosques across the region.
