Saudi crown prince, UK prime minister discuss cooperation in phone call

Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman held a phone call with UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham, congratulating him on his recent appointment and wishing him success. He also highlighted the strong ties between the two countries and their peoples.

Prime Minister Burnham expressed his gratitude to the crown prince for his kind sentiments.

During the call, Burnham also condemned the attacks carried out by the Houthi militia and their threat to maritime navigation in the Red Sea, affirming the UK's support for Saudi Arabia's security and sovereignty.

The two leaders discussed ongoing cooperation between their countries and ways to further develop and strengthen it, as well as a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
