Saudi king issues royal orders reshuffling cabinet, appointing new heads for key authorities

King Salman bin Abdulaziz issued three royal decrees on Monday, including a cabinet reshuffle and the appointment of new chairmen for the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority and the Capital Market Authority.

Royal Order No. A/57 approved the reformation of the Council of Ministers, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, with its current members.

The decision was made after reviewing the Basic Law of Governance, the Council of Ministers Law, and previous royal orders regarding the council's formation, in line with Article 9 of the Council of Ministers Law, which states that the council's term shall not exceed four years and must be reconstituted by royal order.

Royal Order No. A/58 relieved Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef from his position as chairman of the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority, appointing Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman as the new chairman.

Royal Order No. A/59 relieved Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Quwaiz from his role as chairman of the Capital Market Authority, appointing Mazen bin Turki Al-Sudairi as chairman with ministerial rank.

The three royal orders directed the relevant authorities to implement and enforce the decisions.
