Three arrested in Jazan for smuggling 40 kg of khat

Border Guard land patrols in the Al-Daer sector of Jazan region have arrested three violators of border security regulations, of Ethiopian and Yemeni nationalities, for attempting to smuggle 40 kilograms of the narcotic plant khat.

Initial legal procedures have been completed, and both the suspects and the seized items have been handed over to the relevant authorities.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking activities by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, 999 or 994 in other regions, or the General Directorate of Narcotics Control hotline at 995. Reports can also be submitted via email at (Email:[email protected]). All reports will be handled with strict confidentiality and without liability for the informant.
