Two Filipino residents arrested in Jeddah for illegal fishing

Coastal patrols of the Saudi Border Guard in Jeddah, Makkah region, have arrested two Filipino residents for violating safety and security regulations for marine activities in Saudi waters. The pair were caught fishing without a permit and using prohibited equipment. Authorities have taken legal action against them in coordination with relevant agencies.

The Border Guard urged the public to comply with regulations protecting marine resources and to report any violations affecting the environment or wildlife. Reports can be made by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 994 in other regions. All reports will be handled confidentially, and informants will not be held liable.
