Third group of King Salman’s Umrah guests arrives in Madinah today

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has completed preparations to receive the third group of guests under the King Salman Program for Umrah and Visit. This group includes 250 guests from 23 African countries, who are scheduled to arrive in Madinah today, Wednesday. Their visit features a comprehensive program combining religious rituals with tours of Islamic and historical sites, before they travel to Makkah to perform Umrah.

The third group’s guests represent 23 African nations: Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Senegal, Guinea-Conakry, Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana, Niger, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Mauritania, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Chad, Tanzania, Djibouti, South Africa, Zambia, Namibia, Angola, and Mali.

This initiative is part of the program approved by King Salman to host 1,000 male and female pilgrims from around the world at his own expense, divided into four groups. The program reflects his care for Muslims, his commitment to facilitating their pilgrimage and visits to the Two Holy Mosques, and his efforts to strengthen bonds of brotherhood and communication among Muslims globally.

The ministry has prepared a comprehensive itinerary for the guests in Madinah, including visits to the Prophet’s Mosque and prayers there, greeting the Prophet and his two companions, visiting the Rawdah Sharif, Quba Mosque, Mount Uhud, the Uhud Martyrs’ Cemetery, the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur’an, and the International Exhibition and Museum of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilization, along with several other sites of Islamic historical significance.

After completing their visit to Madinah, the guests will continue their program in Makkah to perform Umrah. Their itinerary in Makkah includes visits to the Kiswa Factory, the Revelation Exhibition, and other Islamic landmarks, as part of an integrated educational, cultural, and spiritual program. This aims to introduce them to Saudi Arabia’s efforts in serving Islam and Muslims, caring for the Two Holy Mosques, and hosting pilgrims.

The King Salman Program for Umrah and Visit is an extension of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to serve Muslims and care for their needs. It embodies the Kingdom’s mission to serve the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors, and highlights the leadership’s commitment to strengthening ties with Muslims worldwide and providing all necessary support to ensure pilgrims can perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind.
