Crown Prince departs Saudi Arabia for state visit to France

The Royal Court announced that, following the directive of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and in response to an invitation from the President of France, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who also serves as Prime Minister, has departed Saudi Arabia for a state visit to France.

The Élysée Palace announced on Thursday that President Emmanuel Macron will host Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on August 23 and 24. The two leaders are expected to discuss the current tensions in the Middle East.

The French presidency stated, "The leaders will address key regional issues as part of the close cooperation between France and its Gulf partners, in support of stability and peace in the Middle East."
