Bahrain condemns Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, pledges full support

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain has strongly condemned and denounced the terrorist attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia, including the targeting of Taif province with a drone.

The ministry stated that the interception and destruction of the drone resulted in the death of a resident, injuries to a Saudi woman and another resident, as well as material damage to several buildings and vehicles.

Bahrain described these attacks as a blatant violation of international law, international humanitarian law, the United Nations Charter, and relevant Security Council resolutions.

The Bahraini Foreign Ministry reaffirmed Bahrain's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its complete support for all measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability, and to protect its citizens and residents. The ministry stressed that Saudi Arabia's security is an integral part of Bahrain's national security.

Call for firm international action

The ministry reiterated Bahrain's call for the UN Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities and take decisive action to stop the repeated terrorist attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, hold perpetrators accountable, and implement relevant resolutions.
