The process begins by visiting the nearest Civil Affairs office during official working hours and presenting the original and a copy of the valid national ID card.

The applicant must then provide a clearance letter from the previous employer listed on the ID, attach official documents proving the new occupation from the new employer, and accurately fill out the occupation change request form.

A designated staff member will review the submitted data and documents before completing the official procedures and updating the occupation information on the national ID card.

Civil Affairs also noted that a fine of 100 Saudi riyals (SAR) is imposed for failing to issue a national ID for individuals over 18 years old.
