New public education system to boost quality and governance, says official

Waleed Al-Sanani, Deputy Minister of Education for Legal Affairs, said the new public education system will enhance the quality of education and strengthen decision-making governance in the sector, thereby improving the overall learning environment.

Speaking to Al Ekhbariya TV, he added that cooperation among relevant entities will help advance educational services for students and guide the direction of public education through joint efforts.

A royal decree was recently issued approving the public education system, which aims to reinforce the governance framework for public education, provide the necessary enablers to achieve its objectives, and empower the sector to raise the quality of the educational environment and its outcomes. The system also organizes the roles of the private and non-profit sectors in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
