Saudi, Iranian foreign ministers discuss regional escalation

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan received a phone call from Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

The two officials discussed the recent escalation in the region and ongoing efforts to address the situation.

Prince Faisal also received a separate call from Ed Miliband, the United Kingdom's Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs.

During that conversation, they reviewed bilateral relations, discussed the latest regional developments, and explored joint efforts by both countries to address tensions and mitigate their security and economic impacts.

The call also addressed Houthi militia attacks on King Khalid International Airport. Prince Faisal confirmed Britain's condemnation of the violence carried out by the Houthis targeting Yemen and civilian facilities in Saudi Arabia, expressing the UK’s solidarity with both Saudi Arabia and the Yemeni government in confronting these attacks.
