Saudi Arabia key to global energy security, says Crown Prince

Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman said the world is currently facing an open-ended energy crisis, and that Saudi Arabia has served as a guarantor of global energy security through its ability to supply oil to international markets despite escalating challenges.

In his annual royal address at the opening of the third year of the ninth session of the Shoura Council, delivered on behalf of King Salman, the Crown Prince added that the core of Saudi Arabia’s economic policy is to develop national capabilities, empower promising sectors, attract both local and international investment, and direct resources toward areas with the greatest economic and social impact. This approach, he said, ensures the Kingdom’s ability to finance development priorities and secures sustainable gains for future generations.
