Saudi Arabia appoints new consuls general in Houston and Erbil

Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan oversaw the swearing-in ceremony for two newly appointed consuls general at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Riyadh, attended by several ministry officials.

Wafaa bint Abdullah Al-Marzouqi, appointed as consul general in Houston, United States, and Dr. Sultan bin Faraj Al-Naifel, appointed as consul general in Erbil, Iraq, took the oath before the minister.

The oath stated: “I swear by Almighty God to be loyal to my religion, then to my King and country, not to disclose any state secrets, to safeguard its interests and regulations at home and abroad, and to perform my duties with honesty, integrity, and dedication.”

The ceremony was attended by Abdulhadi Al-Mansouri, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Executive Affairs, and Ali bin Abdullah Al-Shahri, Director General of the General Department of Diplomatic Corps Affairs.
