Northern Borders deputy governor highlights sports' role in quality of life

Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Northern Borders region, received directors of civil and military government departments and local residents on Monday at the governorate headquarters in Arar.

During the meeting, he discussed several key developmental and service-related issues affecting the region, emphasizing the vital role of sports and athletic activities in enhancing quality of life.

Mohammed bin Abdullah highlighted the significant contribution of sports clubs in driving the region’s athletic movement and encouraging local youth to participate in various activities, which helps promote health and community engagement.

Praise for Al-Tadamun Club achievement

In the same context, the deputy governor met with members and players of Al-Tadamun Club, commending the club’s achievement of qualifying its youth football team for the Elite U-21 League for the 2026–2027 sports season.

He underscored the importance of continuing to support and motivate athletic talent to achieve further successes, stressing the need to empower sports clubs and activate programs and activities that meet the aspirations of the region’s youth.

He added that cooperation between government agencies, sports clubs, and the community contributes to developing the sports sector and enhancing quality of life in the Northern Borders region.
