The Ministry of Interior has announced that Yemenis seeking to benefit from the residency status correction initiative must possess a valid Yemeni passport. The ministry added that the start date and regulations for the correction process will be announced through the official accounts of the General Directorate of Passports and other relevant authorities.

The ministry previously announced the launch of procedures to correct the status of all Yemeni nationals residing in the Kingdom without proper documentation, following directives from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in response to a request from Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi.

The ministry clarified that this initiative is being implemented in cooperation with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Human Resources and Social Development, as well as the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), as part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing support and solidarity with the Yemeni people.
