Five Yemenis arrested in Jazan for smuggling 160 kg of qat

Border Guard land patrols in the Al-Dayer sector of Jazan region have arrested five Yemeni nationals for violating border security regulations by attempting to smuggle 160 kilograms of the narcotic plant qat.

According to a statement on the Border Guard’s official X account, initial legal procedures have been completed, and the suspects and seized items have been handed over to the relevant authorities.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 994 in other regions of the Kingdom. All reports will be handled with strict confidentiality and without liability for the informant.
