Over 2,600 Madinah schools prepare to welcome half a million students

The General Directorate of Education in Madinah has completed preparations for the new academic year, with 2,631 schools set to welcome nearly half a million students. These efforts are part of a comprehensive plan involving more than 38,000 teachers and staff to ensure a smooth and organized start from the first day.

Preparations included readying learning environments, completing school facilities, and developing operational plans, with school readiness monitored by leadership and supervisory teams. Both teaching and administrative staff contributed to these efforts, and textbooks were distributed to students before the end of the previous academic year to ensure early readiness for classes.

Facilities and programs supporting education

The directorate has enhanced its educational system with several facilities and programs, including five sports halls, 21 special education programs, and two central schools for boys and girls. Three new educational buildings with 64 classrooms, four schools for gifted students, and four admissions committee centers have also been provided to meet the diverse needs of all students.

Welcoming new students

For the new year, 24,600 children have enrolled in first grade, while 19,700 have registered in level three of kindergarten. Schools and kindergartens are working to help these students transition smoothly into their educational journey.
