Weather and climate researcher Abdulaziz Al-Hussaini has said that September, the ninth month of the Gregorian calendar, marks the beginning of the countdown to the end of summer and the start of autumn, with increased chances of rainfall during this period.

Writing on his account on the X platform, Al-Hussaini noted that during September, nighttime temperatures become milder while midday remains hot at the start of the month, but conditions gradually improve as the days progress and atmospheric depressions move through the region.

He added that September is considered a transitional phase from summer to winter. According to Al-Hussaini, summer effectively ends for Arabs on September 5, while the astronomical end falls on September 22, when day and night become equal in length.
