Extreme heat to persist in parts of Saudi Arabia through Wednesday

The National Center for Meteorology has announced that hot to extremely hot weather will persist in some regions of Saudi Arabia from Sunday until next Wednesday.

In a statement on its official X account, the center said maximum temperatures are expected to range between 47 and 50°C.

The center also issued a report today warning of raised dust and strong winds in the Holy Capital, with speeds reaching 40 to 49 km/h, reducing horizontal visibility to between 3 and 5 kilometers.
