Four arrested for unlicensed hunting in King Salman Royal Reserve

Field patrols from the Special Forces for Environmental Security, while enforcing environmental regulations in King Salman Royal Reserve, apprehended four Saudi nationals for hunting without a license. The individuals were found in possession of two air rifles and 18 hunted wild animals. They were detained, legal procedures were initiated, and their case was referred to the relevant authorities.

The Special Forces for Environmental Security emphasized the importance of adhering to environmental laws and executive regulations, which prohibit the hunting of wild animals. They noted that hunting without a license carries a fine of 10,000 riyals (SAR), hunting in prohibited areas incurs a 5,000 riyal fine, and hunting the dukhul bird without a license is also subject to a 5,000 riyal fine.

The authorities urged the public to report any violations against the environment or wildlife by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 996 in other regions of the Kingdom. All reports will be treated confidentially and without liability for the informant.
