Saudi crown prince meets Oman’s sultan to discuss regional developments, bilateral ties

Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman received Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman today in Jeddah.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the close relations between Saudi Arabia and Oman, as well as opportunities to strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

They also reviewed recent regional developments and ongoing efforts to ensure the security and stability of the region.

Senior Saudi officials attended the meeting, including Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal, Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Commerce Minister Majid Al-Qasabi, Tourism Minister Ahmed Al-Khateeb, Transport and Logistics Services Minister Saleh Al-Jasser, Investment Minister Fahd Al-Saif, General Intelligence President Khalid Al-Humaidan, and Ambassador Ibrahim bin Saad bin Bishan.

From the Omani side, attendees included Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, Minister of the Royal Office Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Sultan’s Office Lieutenant General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nuamani, Interior Minister Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Head of the Special Office Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Oman Investment Authority Chairman Abdulsalam Al Murshidi, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology Said bin Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Energy and Minerals Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, and Ambassador Najib bin Hilal Al Busaidi.
