Four Yemenis arrested in Jazan for smuggling 64 kg of khat

Border Guard patrols in the Jazan region have arrested four Yemeni nationals for violating border security regulations by attempting to smuggle 64 kilograms of the narcotic plant khat.

The Border Guard announced on its X (formerly Twitter) account that all necessary legal procedures have been completed, and the suspects and seized items have been handed over to the relevant authorities.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking activities by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 994 in other regions of the Kingdom. Reports can also be made to the General Directorate of Narcotics Control at 995 or via email at [email protected]. All reports will be treated with strict confidentiality and without liability for the informant.
