Al-Ahsa governor chairs second executive meeting on developmental housing

Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr, governor of Al-Ahsa and chairman of the executive committee for developmental housing in the governorate, today chaired the committee’s second meeting for 2026. The meeting was attended by Abdullah bin Hussein Al-Muwaihi, director general of housing affairs in the Eastern Province, along with several officials from relevant agencies.

The meeting addressed various topics related to the developmental housing track, reviewed updates on housing projects and initiatives, explored opportunities for inter-agency collaboration, and discussed challenges and proposed solutions to accelerate implementation and maximize the benefits of programs and projects.

Prince Saud bin Talal emphasized that providing dignified housing for the most vulnerable families reflects the leadership’s commitment to empowering citizens and improving quality of life. He highlighted the importance of developmental housing in fostering family and social stability, and the effectiveness of relevant agencies in transforming support into sustainable housing solutions and tangible outcomes for beneficiary families.

He stressed the need for integrated efforts among government entities, the non-profit and private sectors, and supporting organizations, calling for unified roles to expedite the delivery of housing solutions to eligible recipients. This, he said, would enhance the efficiency of initiatives and the effectiveness of the developmental housing system in Al-Ahsa.

Project updates and action plans reviewed

During the meeting, the governor of Al-Ahsa was briefed on the latest developments in developmental housing projects in the governorate and progress toward set targets, as well as action plans for the coming phase. He underscored the importance of continuous project follow-up and enhanced coordination between agencies, while maintaining and expanding partnerships with the third sector, donors, and the private sector to support the sustainability and reach of housing programs.

The executive committee for developmental housing in Al-Ahsa continues its efforts to unify roles, integrate initiatives, monitor projects, and maximize the impact of partnerships. These efforts aim to empower the most vulnerable families and strengthen the social and developmental impact of housing in the governorate, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 for the housing sector and quality of life.
