Saudi, French foreign ministers discuss strengthening ties in Paris

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met today in Paris with French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot, on the sidelines of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's state visit to France.

During the meeting, the two officials reviewed the longstanding bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and France, and discussed ways to enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The ministers also addressed recent regional developments and their impact on the security and stability of the region, in addition to a number of issues of common concern.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi, Deputy Minister for Multilateral International Affairs and Supervisor General of the Ministry's Agency for Economic and Development Affairs; Dr. Faisal Al-Mujfel, Saudi Ambassador to France; and Eng. Fahad Al-Harithi, Director General of the General Administration of Secretariat of Councils and Committees.
