Thunderstorms, hail and strong winds expected across several Saudi regions Tuesday

The National Center for Meteorology has forecast moderate to heavy thunderstorms, which may cause flash floods, accompanied by hail showers in parts of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and Makkah on Tuesday. Lighter to moderate rainfall is expected in parts of Najran.

The center's daily report also noted that strong winds raising dust and sand are likely to affect parts of these regions, as well as areas in the Eastern Province and Madinah.

The report added that surface winds over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to westerly at speeds of 10-38 km/h, with wave heights ranging from half a meter to one and a half meters, and sea conditions expected to be slight to moderate.

In the Arabian Gulf, surface winds will be northwesterly to northerly at 20-45 km/h, with waves rising from one to two meters and moderate sea conditions.
