Qatar strongly condemns Houthi attacks on King Khalid International Airport and Saudia aircraft

Qatar has strongly condemned the Houthi attacks on King Khalid International Airport in Saudi Arabia, which targeted airport facilities and a Saudia aircraft, resulting in fatalities, injuries, and material damage. Qatar described the incident as a serious violation of Saudi sovereignty and a direct threat to regional security, the safety of civilians and civil infrastructure, and air navigation.

According to a statement from the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar reaffirmed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all legitimate measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty, security, territory, and interests. The statement emphasized that Saudi Arabia's security is an integral part of Qatar's security and the collective security of the Gulf Cooperation Council states.

The ministry also expressed Qatar's condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the government and people of Saudi Arabia, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
