Raed Al-Fayez, Deputy Governor for Technology at the Communications, Space and Technology Commission, stated that Saudi Arabia has the largest digital infrastructure in the region, supported by the country’s leadership.

In an interview with Al Ekhbariya TV, Al-Fayez explained that the value of the Kingdom’s telecommunications and technology market stands at SAR 199 billion, making it the largest in the region.

He noted that the commission currently licenses around 650 companies specializing in telecommunications and technology services, in addition to registering 300 tech firms with the authority.

Al-Fayez added that there are about 29 cloud service providers operating in the Kingdom, including around seven global companies, as part of national efforts to broadly adopt technology.
