Civil Defense issues early warning alert in Khamis Mushait

The General Directorate of Civil Defense announced on Monday evening the activation of an alert from the National Early Warning Platform in Khamis Mushait.

Authorities stressed the importance of staying calm and following official instructions, advising residents to remain inside buildings, move to an internal room or a safe area away from windows, and not to leave their homes or buildings until the danger has passed.

Guidelines also included staying away from open areas and glass, avoiding balconies and rooftops, and instructing those outdoors to enter the nearest building or take shelter behind a solid barrier.

The directorate further emphasized avoiding gatherings and refraining from taking photos, as well as steering clear of hazardous locations. If a warning message is received while driving, motorists are advised to pull over to the side of the road away from bridges and tall buildings.

The directorate urged the public to call the emergency number 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and 998 in other parts of the Kingdom if any danger is observed.

It also stressed the need to follow instructions issued by relevant authorities through official channels and to comply with all directives.
