Vegetation cover center unveils 11 investment opportunities for Medina parks

The National Center for Vegetation Cover and Combating Desertification has launched 11 investment opportunities across several national parks in the Medina region, aiming to strengthen partnerships with the private sector and promote nature-based tourism in line with the goals of sustainable development and Saudi Vision 2030.

The center stated that these investment opportunities are designed to empower the private sector and expand its role in implementing development projects with lasting environmental and economic impact. The initiative seeks to develop, protect, and sustain vegetation sites, enhance the efficient use of natural resources, and strike a balance between economic growth and conservation, thereby supporting environmental sustainability and quality of life.

The center noted that the initiative will create added value for local communities and support the national economy through a range of projects, including camping, ecotourism, and paragliding. These efforts will help develop national parks and establish them as attractive natural destinations for visitors from within Saudi Arabia and abroad.

The center is also offering long-term and seasonal investment opportunities to foster vegetation growth and support diverse tree-planting projects, while preserving natural resources.
