Coast Guard detains man for violating marine safety rules in Eastern Province

Coastal patrols of the Saudi Border Guard in Qatif, Eastern Province, have detained a citizen for violating marine safety regulations governing maritime activities in Saudi waters. The individual was caught fishing without a permit and using prohibited fishing gear. Authorities have taken appropriate legal action in coordination with relevant agencies.

The Border Guard urged the public to comply with regulations protecting aquatic resources and to report any violations affecting the environment or wildlife. Reports can be made by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 994 in other regions. All reports will be treated confidentially, with no liability on the informant.
