Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Reserve offers new eco-tourism opportunities

The Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve Development Authority has announced five operational opportunities in sustainable eco-tourism, aiming to empower the private sector to deliver high-quality tourism experiences within the two reserves. The initiative seeks to boost investment in eco-tourism and improve the quality of services provided to visitors.

The available opportunities include two for managing hiking services, one for operating a sand sports area, another for offering desert environmental activities, and one for running mountain biking activities. These options enable eco-tourism service providers to offer diverse experiences that leverage the natural assets of the reserves, in accordance with regulations governing eco-tourism.

These opportunities are part of the authority’s ongoing efforts to develop eco-tourism destinations, empower the private sector, and enhance its role in delivering quality tourism services that enrich visitor experiences and support local economic development. The approach aims to balance tourism growth with the preservation of the environment and natural resources.
