Thunderstorms and strong winds forecast for several regions on Saturday

The National Center of Meteorology has forecast moderate to heavy thunderstorms today, with possible flash flooding and hail, affecting parts of Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha, as well as some highland areas of Makkah. Strong winds stirring dust and sand are expected in these regions, reducing visibility, especially along the coastal areas of Madinah and Makkah. Early morning fog may also form along parts of the Eastern Province's coast.

The report added that surface winds over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to westerly at 20-45 km/h, with waves reaching 1 to 2 meters and moderate sea conditions.

In the Arabian Gulf, surface winds will be southeasterly to easterly at 10-28 km/h, with waves between half a meter and one meter and slight sea conditions.
