Saudi family transforms lifelong home into private museum

Memories, nostalgia, and heritage continue to hold a special place in the hearts of Saudis, even as the Kingdom undergoes modernization and development.

Inspired by this sentiment, a Saudi family decided to transform their lifelong home into a personal museum and tourist destination, preserving memories and sharing the story of their years with visitors, according to Al Arabiya.

Manour Al-Rashidi, the family patriarch, shared the story behind the decision, saying, "My wife, children, and I decided to document our memories in this house, which we felt deserved to be preserved." His wife added, "The house carries the scent of our ancestors."

Their son, Salem, explained that the house is the center of his mother's heritage—she manages and cares for it, spending most of her time there as if nurturing its culture and spirit. "This old legacy is a part of her," he said.
