Over 11,000 beehives registered in Imam Turki Royal Reserve during Talh and Sidr seasons

The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve Development Authority has announced the registration of 11,439 beehives as of July 9, 2026, during the Talh and Sidr seasons. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to regulate beekeeping activities and preserve vegetation within the reserve.

The authority stated that 8,050 beehives were registered during the Talh season, benefiting 99 beekeepers, while 3,389 beehives were registered during the Sidr season, benefiting 55 beekeepers. These figures reflect growing interest in the regulated seasons, which are managed according to guidelines and procedures designed to ensure environmental sustainability.

The authority highlighted the participation of a woman beekeeper in the Talh season, underscoring its commitment to enabling all segments of the local community to benefit from seasonal opportunities and to enhance their involvement in economic activities linked to natural resources.
