The Muslim World League has strongly condemned the targeting of Mecca and Medina by the Houthi militia, which launched two ballistic missiles. Debris from the intercepted missiles fell in Wadi Al-Mughammas in the holy capital, with additional fragments landing in the Al-Nuzha district of Jeddah, Wadi Jalil in Taif, and Mastoura Center in Rabigh governorate.

The League described the attack as a continuation of the militia's aggression against Saudi Arabia and an extension of its hostility toward the Two Holy Mosques.

In a statement, the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League and Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, denounced the Houthis' terrorist actions and their repeated assaults on sacred sites. He said these attacks dangerously provoke the sentiments of over two billion Muslims and flagrantly violate the values of Islam and basic human principles. He added that such acts exemplify a terrorist approach that desecrates religious sanctities and human values, constituting ongoing crimes that betray the teachings of God, His Messenger, and the Muslim community.

On behalf of the League's organizations, councils, and all Muslim peoples under its umbrella, Al-Issa reaffirmed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to deter terrorism, protect holy sites, and safeguard innocent lives. He prayed for Saudi Arabia's victory over those who violate religious sanctities and for the safety of its land, leadership, and people.
