Five Ethiopians arrested in Asir for smuggling 100 kg of khat

Border Guard land patrols in the Raboua sector of Asir region have arrested five Ethiopian nationals for violating border security regulations by attempting to smuggle 100 kilograms of the narcotic plant khat.

According to a statement posted on the Border Guard's official X account, initial legal procedures have been completed against the suspects, and both the detainees and the seized contraband have been handed over to the competent authorities.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking activities by calling (911) in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern Province, or (999) and (994) in other regions of the Kingdom. Reports can also be made to the General Directorate of Narcotics Control at (995) or by email at (Email:[email protected]). All reports will be treated with strict confidentiality and without liability for the informant.
