Two arrested in Yanbu for violating marine safety regulations

Border Guard coastal patrols in Yanbu, Madinah region, have apprehended two citizens for violating marine safety and security regulations for practitioners of marine activities in Saudi Arabia’s territorial waters. The individuals were caught fishing without a permit and using prohibited equipment. Legal measures were taken against them in coordination with the relevant authorities.

The Border Guard urged the public to comply with regulations protecting aquatic resources and to report any violations against the environment or wildlife by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 994 in other regions. All reports will be handled confidentially, with no liability on the informant.
