Compassionate wives valued more than beauty, says family advisor

Family advisor and member of the Arab Family Advisory Council, Abeer Al-Saad, stated that a compassionate wife holds a higher place in her husband's heart than a beautiful one. She emphasized that compassion does not mean weakness or giving up dignity and rights, but rather reflects strength of character and emotional maturity.

Al-Saad explained that a compassionate wife creates a home where her husband feels comfortable and at ease, free from fear of making mistakes or anxiety about reactions. With her, he finds space to express himself, share his concerns, and return home without feeling he is in constant confrontation.

She added that compassion does not mean agreeing to everything, remaining silent about one's rights, or accepting insult. Al-Saad stressed that a woman can combine strength and compassion, being clear and firm without being harsh.

She pointed out that a successful marriage is built on both partners feeling secure with each other. A compassionate wife, she said, gives her husband this sense of security through simple daily gestures, such as kind words, caring about his well-being, supporting him in moments of weakness, and providing a warm and stable environment.
