Saudi foreign minister rejects maritime navigation fees, affirms commitment to global energy security

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan reaffirmed the Kingdom’s position rejecting the imposition of fees on maritime navigation.

He emphasized that Saudi Arabia remains committed to global energy security, noting that the East-West Pipeline has helped mitigate disruptions to energy supplies.

Speaking at the United Nations General Assembly, he said ensuring stable energy supplies is a shared responsibility that requires international cooperation.

He added that the world today needs greater wisdom, responsibility, and collaboration, stressing that the Kingdom will continue working with partners to advance peaceful solutions.
