Saudi Arabia pursues proactive policy in launching initiatives, expert says

Strategic studies expert Maj. Gen. Khaled Al-Muraid said Saudi Arabia adopts a proactive policy in launching initiatives, considering the security and stability of the region as fundamental pillars for development and overcoming crises.

He added in an interview with Al-Ekhbariya TV that the three countries in the Mecca Agreement share common interests, as they are Islamic nations with significant influence in the Muslim world, and that maintaining stability and security is essential.

Last Friday, Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Türkiye, and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan announced the signing of the "Mecca Joint Defense Agreement" during a summit hosted in Makkah at the invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
