The Transport General Authority conducted 363,049 regulatory inspections of land transport activities during September 2026. The inspections aimed to ensure compliance with regulations governing transport activities, enhance safety, and improve service quality for beneficiaries. The authority reported that field monitoring resulted in 94,321 violations, 11,107 warnings, and the impoundment of 3,449 vehicles and trucks, including 249 vehicles belonging to violators at airports across the Kingdom.

The authority noted that the most common violations included operating without a driver card, lacking or having inadequate safety requirements according to vehicle type and transported materials, using an expired professional driver card, operating a bus without an operating card, and individuals preparing to transport passengers in private cars without a license. The activities with the highest number of violations were specialized transport, commercial heavy goods transport for third parties (companies), private passenger transport by bus, and non-commercial heavy goods transport.

Among the regions, Makkah recorded the highest number of violations with 23,303 cases, followed by Riyadh with 22,266, the Eastern Province with 16,709, Madinah with 6,423, Tabuk with 6,254, and Asir with 4,464, in addition to other violations across various regions.

These efforts are part of the authority's ongoing initiatives to ensure transport operators comply with regulatory and safety requirements, reduce violations, protect beneficiaries, and improve the quality of transport services.

The authority urged beneficiaries to report any observations or complaints related to transport services, noting that reports can be made via the unified number 19929 or through the customer care account on the X platform.
