Civil Defense urges caution amid severe weather in Makkah region

The General Directorate of Civil Defense has called on the public to exercise caution and follow safety instructions due to the current weather conditions affecting the Makkah region, following a red alert issued by the National Center for Meteorology.

In a statement on its official X account, the directorate noted that the region is experiencing heavy rainfall, urging residents to take maximum precautions and avoid areas where water accumulates, as well as valleys and dams, to ensure public safety.

The Civil Defense also emphasized the importance of adhering to safety guidelines during rainfall and warned against attempting to cross floodwaters.
