Border Guard launches marine safety awareness exhibition in Jazan

The General Directorate of Border Guard has organized a marine safety awareness exhibition at Kadi Mall in Jazan, aiming to promote proper practices and reduce the risk of drowning among beachgoers.

The exhibition runs until July 28, 2026, and features information on Border Guard regulations for beach visitors, penalties for swimming in unauthorized areas, and essential safety guidelines for those heading to the sea.

Organizers highlighted that the event showcases the Border Guard's efforts in search and rescue operations, ensuring the safety of marine vessels before departure, and raising awareness about the importance of following instructions to minimize maritime incidents.

The General Directorate of Border Guard urged all beach and sea visitors to adhere to safety guidelines and instructions, emphasizing the importance of calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, and the Eastern Province, or 994 in other regions of the Kingdom, to request emergency assistance.
